    This last segment of our Histoy will cover the years 1995 to the present time.

    1995-1996


  • New members were Linda Ritter and Dee Nickerson.

  • Members who passed away: Rosalie Meehan, Betty Tucker and Mac Edwards.

  • Our new Skupperette was Jerry Hamling.


  • 1996-1997


  • New members were Sharon Leedy, Diana O’Brien, Kendra DeCamp, Sandra McKenzie, Debbie Menard and Lynne Rumbold.

  • For Christmas the Bridge served Skipperettes dessert and cleaned galley.

  • Presented money tree to needy family.

  • Presented to Club, sign for gate in black and gold “BYC”, cost $315.39/

  • Our new Skupperette was George Harless.


  • 1997-1998


  • New members were Geri Bachman and Billie Henry.

  • Our new Skupperette was Owen Ritter.

  • Members who passed away: Jeanne Lindquist and Helen Smith.


  • 1998-1999


  • New members were Linda Bourboulis and Marilyn Morris.

  • Members who passed away: Ester Gunlach and Ethel DeCleent.


  • 1999-2000


  • New members were Ursel Krumme and Sandy Baker.

  • Dues were raised to $20.00 (dues $7.00 - Installation $13.00).

  • Purchased for Club stem glasses, 36 cases @$67.41 per case.

  • Purchased for Club folding stepstool and 3 frying pans.

  • Arlene Gorski received a gift for special work on door prizes.

  • We donated 350 lbs. to the food bank. Donations to be made all year.

  • New By-Laws printed.

  • Raised our lunches to $4.00.

  • Member who passed: Helen Hudson.


  • 2000-2001


  • New members were Blanche Horne, Jute Wheeler, Marion Fox, Liz Kossie and Angela Perryman.

  • Bev Titus was made Honorary Life Member.

  • We were presented a plaque from BYC for help with Special Peoples Cruise.

  • Received a thank you from Food Bank for our donation.

  • New flat ware purchased, 160 place settings.

  • Amendment made to By-Laws.

  • Our new Skupperette was Mike Leedy.

  • Members who passed: Bobby Ward, Geneviere Warden and Alice Applegate.


  • 2001-2002

  • New member was Marsha Trott.

  • Helped with remodeling of men’s head.

  • Painted meeting room down stairs.

  • Presented gift to Club of Barbecue and Tool Set for Oro Bay.

  • Members who passed: Irene Belt and Margaret Day.


  • 2002-2003


  • New members were Elaine Morgan, Paula Davis and Penny Maise.

  • We had our first ever board meeting held at Oro Bay Outstation.

  • The WIC Luncheons were raised from $8.00 to $10.00.

  • We donated a Karaoke System to the Club.

  • We made new curtains and table covers and re-did ropes in club house.

  • Made plans to have a Bazaar in October 2003.

  • New BYC By-Laws to allow Skipperettes to rent club for functions.

  • Our Lettuce Bowl was increased to $15.00, drawing up to 3 times to find a winner.

  • Ordered new table cloths and purchased new iron and screen.


  • 2003-2004


  • New member was Patty Stiles.

  • Our Bazaar was a huge success, thanks to Lynne Rumbold.

  • Received 138 new soup spoons.


  • 2004-2005


  • New members were Diane Robinson, Kathy Thomas and Sharon Baker.


  • Purchased 14 doz. Royal blue cloth napkins.

  • Ordered 25 red tote bags with our logo on them to sell.

  • A new WIC scarf printed with the burgees of the Grand 14 on them were on sale for $26.00.

  • Purchased 14 doz. White cloth napkins.

  • Juantia Armstrong and Nyla Walsh was given a 25 year pin.

  • Presented to the Club, 40 new carafes and 40 pairs of salt and pepper shakers.

  • Our new Skupperette was Bob Wheeler.


  • 2005-2006


  • New member was Marilyn Adair.

  • Give BYC Youth Sailing Program up to $150.00 for cookies and punch for graduating classes.

  • Member who serve on the WIC luncheon food committee, do not have to pay for lunch.


  • 2006-2007


  • New member was Marianne Williams.

  • Shirley Solman and Denise Johnson were made life members.

  • BYC offered to remodel the ladies heads.

  • WIC 50th Anniversary Pin offered and we donated $100.00 toward their Anniversary party.

  • Changes to the By-Laws.

  • WIC reprehensive duties changed.

  • A letter was sent to BTC on the condition and cleanliness of the Club.

  • Estelle Hamling and Clair Burwell received their 25 year pins.

  • North end head completed, Skipperettes decorated.

  • Our new Skupperette was Dan Robinson.

  • Member who passed: Gladys Feek.


  • 2007-2008


  • New members were Ann Brown, Alice Nelson and Leslie Hunt.

  • April was Skipperettes 70th Anniversary.

  • New silverware purchased.

  • Our new Skupperette was Al Conzalezs.

  • Member who passed: Eva Katzenberger.


  • 2008-2009


  • New member was Georgia Schour.

  • Our lunches were raised to $5.00 and dessert meeting to $3.00.

  • WIC lunches were raised to $14.00

  • Anderson Island Fire Dept. came and gave lessons on CPR.

  • Polices and Procedures changed to read: Board quorum will be 50% + 1 of Board members.

  • Member who passed: Margie Hoffman.


  • 2009-2010


  • New members were Christine Johnson and Paula Lewis.

  • A letter was sent to BYC regarding points earned for work party galley crew.

  • Eileen Stouffer received 25 year pin.

  • Donated $195.00 to Youth Sailing for Scholarship.

  • Nomination for WIC reprehensive for Secretary/Treasurer was Geri Bachman.

  • Evening meeting will begin with social at 7:00 PM and meeting at 7:30 PM.

  • Our new Skupperettes are Steve Brett, Paul Smith and Sam Throm.

  • Members who passed: Beulah Jurges and Elizabeth Merrifield.


  • 2010-2011


  • Established a column in Knotical News called “The Bilge Pump”, author unknown.

  • Painted and upgraded the heads by the park.

  • Had a very successful Second Hand Tresurers garage sale. Profits to out BYC Youth Sailing Program.

  • Bunch for Lunch appeared on Margaret Larsons - New Day NW-King 5.

  • Painted tiles to decorate the new picnic shelter galley.

  • Decorated and entered a boat in the Opening Day parade. Won 3rd prize in our class.
