I would also like to commend the outstanding efforts from so many to make our Heavy Weather Event a success. It all started with the prep work around our Club to get it ready with a Work Party the prior weekend, thanks to Norm Smith for organizing. With the many hands, it makes the whole project much easier. I would like to give a special thanks to Donna Park and Bev Bruin for being the Chair and Co-Chair of the Baked Potato Bar on Friday night. Also to Jay Spearman and his crew assisting with the moorage, Paul Andrews and crew on the Fire Watch, and Rose Saikkonen as the Photographer of the event.
It seems strange not having the fellowship of our 2nd General Meeting in February. I hope everyone had an enjoyable Presidents Day Holiday. Coming upon us quickly is our Saint Patrick’s Day Cruise to Poulsbo March 13th – 15th, see the sign-up posted or contact our Fleet Captain Paula Lewis. We are even talking about making a Predicted Log Race for those interested on our way there. See John Burwell for more information as it becomes available. That will be followed up by the St. Patty’s Dinner / Meeting on Monday March 16th.
In closing a quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Remember not only to say the right thing in the right place, but far more difficult still, to leave unsaid the wrong thing at the tempting moment.”
We look forward to seeing everyone at our events and around the Club,
