Reports from the Bridge

Jul 2011

Hopefully everyone is starting to enjoy some warmer weather and getting out on their boats. It’s good to see so many of the snow birds back around the club and taking part in BYC activities. It was also great to see so many attend the Commodore’s Ball and Skipperette’s Installation, I know Bev and I thoroughly enjoyed both events. Even though it’s a ways off, mark your calendar for the Annual Salmon Bake on September 11. J.D. Weiner and his committee do a great job at hosting this event and we’d love to see everyone there as the summer will be winding down.

Leslie Hunt will be putting together the 2011/2012 annual during the early part of the summer so now is the time to get changes in addresses and contact information turned in. Also if you have photos you’d like to share of club activities, please pass those along to Leslie.

August will bring the Grand 14 officers to BYC for their annual cruise-in and get together. Again, I know it’s early, but if you will be away from the club the weekend of August 19-21 please let Rear Commodore Lisa Ryan or me know that your slip will be available for visiting boats. Finding room for about 35 visiting boats can be challenging and we would appreciate your assistance.

Bev and I are looking forward to spending some time aboard “Ocean Pearl” and hoping to see you on the water.
