Those of you who weren't able to attend the Wine Tasting Party*, the January Breakfast and the annual Crab Feed missed three great events. Thanks to Capt. Andy and First Mate Nancy Kupp, Capt. Randy and First Mate Marcia Trott and their crews for a wonderful time.

By the time you're reading this, Heavy Weather Weekend will be behind us. I hope all enjoyed themselves, and hope it was successful. While the weekend is over, it's not too early to plan for next year's event. To that end, the Commodore has asked P/C Mike Henry to chair a committee to come up with ideas on how to improve on, and increase participation in, one of our premier events of the year. If you have suggestions, please jot them down and pass them on to P/C Henry, or me.

To all of you who participated in making the weekend come together: P/C Keith Conrad and crew for the Friday Nite Social; Capt. Don and First Mate Jennifer Hardgrove and their group of thespians and stage hands who put on the BYC skit; my First Mate Sharon Billings, Marva McWaid, Capt. Ray and First Mate Sharon Baker for the Saturday "Late Nite Snack"; Capt. Doug & First Mate Pam Smith and crew for the wonderful Sunday Breakfast; the Fire Watches; the racers; the observers; the Set-Up crew who made sure the ball room was reconfigured for each event; the Skipperettes who seem to be everywhere throughout the weekend helping in ways too numerous to mention; those who put out and removed the timbers; the "sailors" who helped dock the boats; all of you who worked so hard behind the scenes. THANK YOU!

Coming up we have the Dinner Meeting on March 7th, Sunday Breakfast on March 13th, and the Saint Patrick's Weekend Cruise to Poulsbo.

A reminder - It has been noted recently that there have been some instances of individuals who are not members of the club being seen around the club house and down on the floats, with no member escort. If you see someone whom you do not know, ask if you may be of assistance, and/or introduce yourself to ascertain if the individual(s) are authorized to be on club property. If you are expecting guests, please let the Facilities Manager and/or Caretaker know in advance that your guest(s) are coming so you may be paged upon their arrival. You might want to review BYC By-Laws, Article XV, Section 5, if you have any questions on club security, and our responsibilities as members.

See you 'round the club.
