Hello Golfers,

The Bremerton Yacht Club Golf Tournament will be on September 12, 2024 with a shotgun start at 1 pm.  We are opening the registration to BYC members first and then looking to other clubs in the Grand 14 to fill up the roster.  I have received a lot of support and interest.

I have had some great recommendations from club members, so after confiding with the many experts here is what we are going to do:

18-hole tournament in a scramble format.  Sign up is on the BYC web site at $115 dollars per person.  This includes green fees, range balls, cart and a catered dinner. Mulligans can be purchased, 4 for $20 dollars, 8 mulligans max per group of 4. 

Players who choose to play together will sign up and pay online individually and then send an e-mail message to me with the full names of the players.  If there are only two or three of you that is OK, I will match you up later with other singles or pairs.

Non yacht club friends and family members can play.

Everyone will drive out to their starting hole and at 1pm there will be a “shotgun” start, meaning we all start at the same time. Gold Mountain will provide a beverage cart to purchase beverages.
We will have two holes for a closest to the pin (one for men and one for women) with prizes for the winners.  There will be two long drive holes (one for men and one for women) with prizes for the winners. BYC will have a tent set up on the 10th hole with treats. Each team will keep their own scores and provide a copy at the conclusion for tabulations. After 18 holes each team will relocate to the “Golf Room” where we will have dinner.

The dinner consists of a mix of fresh grilled 1/3lb burgers, grilled BBQ chicken served with all the condiments, accompanied by Caesar salad, fresh sliced watermelon, and assorted chips and baked cookies.

Cash prizes and trophies will be provided for low net scores.  It has yet to be determined what the team categories will be.
