Intermediate Sail Camp

Students with prior sailing experience learn more advanced sailing skills to allow them to transition from basic handling to mastering boat speed, safety and efficiency, and prepare them to advance to sail race teams.
Enrollment requires instructor recommendation and completion of basic Learn-to-Sail course at BYC or other local Learn-to-sail camps.
- Parents/Guardians are asked to select "Add me to waitlist" below (ignore the "Event is Full").
- You will then be contacted by the director of the BYC Sailing School to confirm the student is eligible.
- If eligible, you will then be sent a notification that a slot is available for you to register the student.
Fee: $380 for 5 days of instruction.
10% off for families of BYC members or active Military.
Scholarships are available for families with financial need.

Registration cancellations will be accepted until Monday, July 27, 2026 at 11:00 PM
Cancellation Policy:
The camper’s parent/guardian must send an email notification to the BYC Junior Sailing Camp Director at sailingschool@bremertonyachtclub.org.
- At least 21 days prior to the start of the camp week – 100% refund will be issued.
- Between 15 and 21 days prior to the start of the camp week – 100% refund will be issued if we can fill the space. If we are unable to fill the space, no refund will be issued.
- Within 14 days of the start of and during the camp week, including if a student chooses not to attend – No refund will be issued.
Inclement Weather or Other Unforeseeable Conditions:
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseeable reasons, it may become necessary to cancel a sail camp day. We will contact you via email or a text message as soon as possible, but no later than 8 a.m. on the day of a sail camp. Please keep us updated with your latest email address and phone number. We do not provide refunds or replacement classes if class must be cancelled due to causes described above.
