Marine Railway

On June 29th (1942), our friend Floyd Phillips rose to his feet and spent 46 minutes extolling the advantages of a marine railway and why didn’t the club have one? [Source]

In the summer of 1994, Norm Smith rebuilt the railway. (Bob Wheeler)

Chair of Marine Railway Committee:

Capt. Mike Dunn

Railway Operators Needed for 2004-05. Good payment in points! Contact Mike Dunn.

Since I am on the subject of volunteering, your club needs just that. If you read last months Towline you noticed the Railway Chairman Cpt. Dunn asking for additional railway committee members. With each haul out or in a committee member performs he/she receives .1 point per operation with no limit on the number of operations performed. The more active you are the more points you can accumulate each month toward moorage assignments, haul-outs, etc. So, newer members, give Cpt Dunn a call. [Source: Commodore, August 2004]
