PC Cup Race (6 Nov 2005)*

Hank Willis & Professor Leo L.
during Log Racing 101 in Clubhouse

October 9th was the BYC Novice Big Brother contest with, sadly, only one contestant. Hank Willis took first place overall. Good job Hank. I was his big brother and I think the hook is set, just have to reel him into the fun filled log race circuit. I encouraged others to participate in this race just for practice. I'd like to thank P/C Mike Henry, Captain Chuck Silvernail, Capt. Rob Bruins, myself and Captain Owen Ritter who took first place with the other non-competitors.

The next BYC log race will be the P/C Cup. Originally scheduled for Nov. 13, has been moved to Nov. 6th to de-conflict other events. Again, this will be a good training session as I will have log racing 102 on Nov. 1st and 3rd at 1900 in the club house. This will be a good skull session in preparation for this event and also our big race, Heavy Weather. I highly recommend attendance in this contest to prepare you for the big one.

I'm requesting all current, former and anyone who's ever even run one race to participate this event. We need the racers for our Heavy Weather contest and, I firmly believe, with the upcoming training and contest, you will do well in Heavy Weather.
