HEAVY WEATHER
BERTHING & OTHER INFORMATION

  1. NO WAKE AREAS: Please watch your wake when passing the Port Washington Marina and launching ramps while transiting Port Washington Narrows before and after the race.
  2. BERTHING INFORMATION: For moorage instructions, please contact the BYC Harbor Master on VHF 71 low power.
  3. LOG CHECK-IN: Logs are to be checked in at the clubhouse prior to the race. Vacant slips will be available at the northeast corner of the BYC moorage prior to the race for log check-in only; after completing your log check-in and obtaining your observer, please move your boat clear of the moorage area to enable other contestants to complete their log check-in, as well.
  4. RESERVED MOORAGE FOR RACERS: The area on the north side of the BYC condo cover berthing is reserved exclusively for race contestant moorage. You may also moor at other locations as provided by the Harbor Master, if you desire. If you end up in a long raft, please take measures (anchors, ties between rafts, etc.) to assure raft stability should windy conditions arise.
  5. HANDICAP MOORAGE: Should you require special moorage to accommodate a physical handicap, contact Jack Hensley at 360-373-2423 or via e-mail at jhensley@telebyte.net prior to Wednesday, Feb 12.
  6. FIRE SAFETY: Due to the large number of visiting boats combined with 200 moored BYC boats in a relatively confined area, minimizing the risk of a possible fire is an important aspect of the weekend. BYC firewatch patrols will be on the docks throughout the entire weekend. To further our fire prevention actions, we ask that there be no open flame B-B-Qs on your boats or on the floats and that heaters and stoves be turned off when your boat is unattended.
  7. PETS: Due to large number of expected boats, special moorage to accommodate the needs of your pets will not be provided.
  8. PIZZA! PIZZA! PIZZA! For your dining pleasure and convenience, Domino's Pizza will be at the clubhouse on Saturday to take your pizza order for delivery back to the clubhouse. Their regular menu will be available.

If you have additional items to add, email the web developer.
