From the Bridge

Winter is Coming! Boy is it ever. The Dark, the Gloom, the Wind and the Wet! But, Halloween is behind us and a Great Holiday Season is off our Bow! So, bundle up and come out to our many events ahead!

Rear View

First, we would like to thank Fleet Captain Dick and Carey Haney for yet another great cruise in, this time at Arabella's Landing in Gig Harbor. See Dick's article below.

Second, another great time was had by all at the 18th Oktoberfest Dinner hosted by Jytte and PC Bob Wheeler. Over 100 paid attendees packed the hall and enjoyed a fantastic dinner, fun music, and more desert than would could handle. Many thanks to Jytte and Bob and their committee members, some of whom have been reprising their roles for as long as, or nearly as long as Jytte and Bob!

Off the Bow

After you enjoy the extra hour of sleep as we return to Daylight Standard Time, come enjoy the Autumn Warm-Up Breakfast put on by the Past Commodores on Sunday, November 5th. The menu is still up in the air, but we know there will be sufficient calories involved to get us through the winter.

Our first Business Meeting in November will be a Dinner meeting, with a presentation by Ms. Renee Johnson of the WSU Extension Office on the Water Stewardship Program. The store will be open at 5:00 and dinner will be served at 6:00.

We have a quite an event line up through December. Flyers are elsewhere in this Towline, but the events and points of contact are listed here. Helping hands are always appreciated, and the committee time provides great fellowship, so please reach out where you can help. Mark your calendars for:
