Reports from the Bridge

January 2017

What a great December and Holiday Season!  The club events from start to finish were spectacular. Thanks to so many of the members who helped put them all together.  I write this as we just completed the Lighted Boat Parade which was once again a spectacular event enjoyed by so many in our neighborhood and community.  Nice to see the new boats out there and great decorations throughout.

Starting with New Year’s Eve, we will continue with a full slate of activities going into January.  PC Leo Longenecker is organizing a casual gathering for New Year’s Eve in the clubhouse.  Check out the flyer and help bring in the new year (hopefully, with some happy Husky fans!).

Other events planned for January are a Lady’s Wine and Paint Night and the Crab Feed.  CAPT Melinda Swansboro will be hosting an evening social on 26 January with artist Danielle Rimbert providing step by step instructions and guidance on brush techniques, color choices, etc.  Come enjoy a fun evening with good wine and company.  On 29 January, CAPT Lynetta Halffman will be resurrecting the Crab Feed subject to availability of our favorite crustaceans.  Watch for flyers on this long time favorite event.

Looking forward to seeing you at the many events and around the docks as we start prepping for another cruising season.
