Reports from the Bridge

Dec 2015

It doesn’t seem possible that Thanksgiving is actually behind us, with Christmas quickly closing in. Thanks to Paul VanAmerongen, Chair of our 1st Annual Apple Cup Social.  It was encouraging to have NEW Members come forward with an idea for a Social Event, and then step up to Chair the Event as well. We look forward to a month full of fellowship with our BYC Family & Friends. Between Club Decorating, Family Christmas Party, Special People’s Cruise, Christmas Dinner (in Honor of all of you from your Leadership Team), and the Lighted Boat Parade, we will have lots of time to enjoy the company of our New Friends and Old. I would also like to give a BIG Thanks to our E-Committee for an Outstanding 1st half of the year, even with all of our many major projects to be undertaken over the coming months. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

In closing a quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Happiness consists more in small conveniences of pleasures that occur every day, than in great pieces of good fortune that happen but seldom to a man in the course of his life.”

We look forward to seeing everyone at our events and around the Club,

Dan Saikkonen
Vice Commodore
