February is here, which means it’s time for our renowned Heavy Weather Log Race Weekend. Starting it off on Friday February 13th at 1800 (6:00pm) will be a Baked Potato Bar, Chaired by Donna Park & Bev Bruin (sign up early so we can have a good head count). There may still be time to sign up as an Observer for the race on Saturday, check with Linda Ritter for details. Be sure to see Norm Smith for Work Party details in preparation of Heavy Weather, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday February 7th & 8th.
The Club is looking great. A BIG Thank You to so many members involved to make this happen. I hope you had a chance to come out for the Open House to enjoy the accomplishments and comradery of our membership.
Coming up much too quickly will be our Saint Patrick Cruise In to Poulsbo, under the guidance of our lustrous Fleet Captain, Paula Lewis. This will be held on March 13th – 15th. Mark your calendars and sign up early.
Give me your thoughts on having our own New Year’s Eve Party this coming holiday season! We were the only members from our Club at the joint party at Poulsbo Yacht Club this year. Therefore, we will not be having a joint party. I am interested to find out if having one is something that the members want to do. I need to know soon in order to have a DJ or Band scheduled before they are all booked.
In closing a quote from Benjamin Franklin: “Old boys have their playthings as well as young ones; the difference is only in the price.”
We look forward to seeing everyone at our events and around the Club,
