Reports from the Bridge

Dec 2013

The problem with doing nothing is not knowing when you are finished.

Steve Brett has been and continues to be a valued member of our Club. While his background in construction provides him with the knowledge to help the Club with many projects, it is because he never hesitates to help and be a part of the solution that really sets him apart. Thank you Steve, for all you do and, particularly, for all you do that others cannot.

Crystal and I had the good fortune to able to go on a Serengeti Safari the weekend of November 8, 9 and 10. The real treat was being able to do so simply by taking our boat to the Edmonds Yacht Club for their JO Ball! The Safari theme was a big hit with all of the Grand 14 Jr. Officers and, as usual, we had a great time interacting with our counterparts. While it was no vacation and we worked really hard the whole time we were there, please know we did it "for the good of the Club"!

Please be sure to consider joining your fellow Club members in celebrating the New Year at the BYC with our friends from the Poulsbo Yacht Club. With a catered prime rib dinner, music, dancing, a balloon drop and party favors the evening, chaired by PC Don and Donna Park, will be one you will be sure to remember for many years. Get your name on the reservation list by the 15th of December to ensure we have a place setting with your name on it.

With warm personal regards,
Ray Norton
