Looking back over the past two years gets me excited for the next year to come. Stacy and I have had a wonderful time getting to know our Grand 14 Counterparts and meeting all the BYC members who have volunteered their time on committees. Most importantly, we feel we have contributed to the Bremerton Yacht Club in some ways. We would like to thank everyone who stepped up when we asked for a committee chair, or just needed a hand. We cannot begin to express our appreciation for all those who helped us. Looking ahead to our Commodore year comes with some mixed feelings. One more year to go, and it will go fast. We have lots to do just keeping up with club activities, meetings and our Grand 14 friends. I have sent our WEB master the calendar for 2011 - 2012.

Please keep it close so you can keep informed of all the "goings on" around your club. There is a lot. With elections probably behind us when you read this. I am excited to work, and play, with our new Rear Commodore whomever she may be, and the Executive Committee. I look forward to working with John Carlson, Executive Committee Chairman. The budget is also out there for a vote soon. Please, if you care for your club, come to the May meetings. There will be lots of important issues that you need to be a part of. Don't forget, Awards night May 13th and Installation of officers on May 20th.

See you on the docks,

Leo and Stacy Longenecker
