February and March were busy months for Stacy and myself.

Heavy Weather weekend, three JO Balls, two log races and a club cruise.

What fun we had. I would like to give the Skipperettes a special thank you for inviting the bridge and our wives to their WIC Luncheon on March 9th. It was wonderful seeing the WIC ladies and how they spread their camaraderie among the Puget Sound boating community. Looking forward, April has Daffodil weekend at the Tacoma Yacht Club and Seattle Opening Day weekend. These are among the best boating events one can attend on the Puget Sound and I highly encourage all that can, attend. Commodore Rosendale has more info on these weekends. After Opening Day is Awards night, May 13th. Please see the included flyer for details. This is an opportunity for the Commodore to present special, well deserved awards to club members. It is also the time when all the log race and sail race awards are presented. There will be a dinner prepared by Alice Nelson and FREE for the first 100 members who sign up. Installation will be the following Friday evening May 20th. There will be hors d'oeuvres and beverages provided, again, FREE to the first 100 members who sign up. The bridge did rather well on our social budget this year and now we are reaping the fruits of our efforts. Please sign up and attend. This is also an attempt to have a good showing at these two events. The Memorial Day Weekend club cruise this May will be to the Quartermaster Harbor Yacht Club on Vashon Island. BYC hasn't been there for many years and was one of my favorite cruising destination for a club cruise. There is plenty of moorage since their members have their own cruise elsewhere. They also have a very nice, club house with a kitchen and plenty of room for everyone to sit inside incase of the rare occasion it should rain. Please plan on attending.

So for now, fair winds and following seas, VC Leo and Stacy Longenecker
