For the last month and a half or so I have been holding all three bridge positions, with the Commodore helping those in need in the flood zones of the Mid-West and the R/C in California on a business trip. I would like to thank you for your patience and help during this time. I am relieved to know that John Rosendale will be back in time for the next Picnic in the Park and Mike Dunn before the end of the month. With me going on vacation soon we would be Bridgeless in Bremerton.

At the next E-Committee meeting on July 14, I will have the opportunity to swear in 7 new members into the Bremerton Yacht Club, please take the time to look on the web site and see the pictures of our new members. Help make them feel welcome and answer any questions they may have. If you have any membership questions or know of a prospective member please feel free to call or e-mail the Chairperson Deana Brett.

There will be a busy weekend of boating activity in August, so plan accordingly. The Grand XIV Officers Cruise-In may see as many as 35 – 40 boats moored at the Club from August 8th to 10th. If you are under the Club Cover or in a B-string or C string boatshed close to either of the reciprocal docks, you could be blocked in for the weekend unless you move. Please inform R/C John Rosendale or the Float Chair if your slip will be available during this time.

Looking for Junior Officer Ball Committee members and Chair: Please let the V/C Don Park know if you are interested in working on the JO Ball set for October Friday 10th and Saturday 11th.. The Theme will be "Red Carpet" . There will be a meeting with all interested on Tuesday August 5th at 6:30 (1830).

    Thank You
