I would like to give a special thanks to P/C Bill & Lynne Rumbold, P/C
Gary Carr and Fleet Captain Mike Ryan & Mona -Lisa Ryan for all their
help in decorating the club.
Thanks to all who came out and shared their food and conversation at the
Tree Trimming Potluck. There was plenty of food to go around. The
entertainment was outstanding as Wendy McPetres brought approx. 40 choir
students from Bremerton's Mountain View Middle School, sharing their
talents with Christmas songs.
Again the Skipperettes hosted a fantastic Children's Christmas party on
December 1st, and Santa had a great time visiting and handing out gifts
to all who attended.
There is still opportunity to add to the Food Donation Box for the
Bremerton Food Bank. Many people are in need of our support this time of
year and giving locally is so important. There are two boxes marked, one
located by the children's Christmas tree and the other under the phone
counter located by the club store door.
February 15th thru the 17th Tune-up your Log Racing skills, and get ready
for Heavy Weather. Those of you not racing should be ready to volunteer
for the many committees that help put this big event on. Sign-up for any
of the many jobs that happen in preparation for the weekend and those
events during it, i.e., Heavy Weather Timber installation, Fire Watch,
Galley, Time keepers are always in demand. Please help make this the best
Heavy Weather ever.
A reminder that the January 7th General Meeting is the time to signup for
Railway Haul Outs and begin thinking about the coming boating season.
Donna and I would like to take this time to offer our warmest wishes to
you and yours for a joyous and safe holiday season. Thank you all for
your support and encouragement these past months.
