We kick off the Holiday
Season with a Club decorating Party Sunday November 27th at
11:00am.
We will meet to decorate and Pizza will be served at 12:00 Noon. Just
around the corner on December 2nd at 6:00pm we will gather again for a
“Red and Green” Potluck and Tree trimming Party. We will bring the
main dish and provide Holiday beverages. Bring your favorite red or
green dish to share. It should be a fun and festive time. Sign up at
the club, call or email so you can join us. As we do every year we
will have a Food drive to provide non-perishable food to those in need.
Please bring something to put in the Food Drive Box, soon to be located
in the common area at the club. Your generosity is appreciated.
Mark Miller and his committee are doing a fantastic job getting ready
for the Special Peoples Cruise this year. I am honored to be a part of
this event and I hope as many of you as possible can take part. Please
contact Mark as soon as you can, to participate. Your time and caring
are truly appreciated.
Next on the Holiday agenda are the Lighted Boat Parades, December 16th,
and 17th.
This event really symbolizes the Holidays for many residents in Kitsap
County and I want to give a big thank you to all of you working away
getting ready for these wonderful nights. This year we will be having
Hot Buttered Rum for both nights, thanks to Sylvia Wilson and Marva
McWaid and her crew.
A special thank you to Captain Andy and first mate Nancy Kupp for
putting on a fabulous New Members
Night and Wine Tasting November 11th.
It was great to enjoy live music (thanks Nancy) and to get acquainted
with new members. The Sunday Breakfast November 13th was another great
Fall event and thank you to Captain Dan Robinson, first mate Diane and
crew. We enjoyed your company during another scrumptious Breakfast.
Meanwhile we will be getting ready to serve you - our wonderful members
dinner at the 19th Annual Christmas Dinner December 11th. As the
Holidays draw near, I want to wish you and your family the very best.
There is much to be thankful for this fine year and I will be even more
thankful if you sign up for some Holiday events so we can reminisce
about the fun we have had throughout the year and create some new
memories for years to come.
