Angela and I hope that the Holiday Season is finding you all in good health and happiness.

As many of you already know I convened a Special Executive Committee Meeting On 22 November 2004,to discuss the Member/ Employee Issue. The question, can a BYC member also be employed on a permanent basis by the Bremerton Yacht Club? The answer was yes, a member can be hired as an employee by the Bremerton Yacht Club. This subject was then put to the Membership. The members present at the December 6th General Meeting approved having a member as a permanent employee.

The Defibrillator Locker should be installed in the Clubhouse by the end of December, it is currently located in the Club Store, the other one is aboard the Fleet Surgeonís boat, Cpt. Jim Picinich, Cpt. Picinichís boat Harbor Lights is in a boathouse at the end of C String, on the South side of the dock. [Websites: Zoll | Zoll AED at home | First Responder Video]

HEAVY WEATHER is close at hand,.scheduled for the weekend February 18th-20th. I encourage each and everyone of you to make yourself available this weekend as this is BYCís Big Event of the year. "This is an All Hands Event". Many of you will be asked if you would like to help on one or more of the committees, I would urge you not to wait until asked, but actively seek out a Committee Chairman or ask any Officer where you can help. Newer members should be asking your Sponsors how and when you can help, this a great opportunity to gain moorage points. Some of the Committees: Fire Watch, Heavy Weather Timber Installation, Skit Competition, Parking Lot Attendant, Friday Night Social, Saturday Night Dance, Sunday Breakfast and Race Committee, just to mention a few .If a Committee Chair/Officer asks please make this Heavy Weather the best by giving your all.

Communications Chairman Cpt. Garry Williams is currently upgrading or telephone service to A,B and C String Docks. Cpt. Williams is also looking for an assistant or two to give him a hand, see Cpt. Williams or the Work Party chairman Cpt. Al Fox if you can assist.

What a wonderful time Angela and I had sharing Christmas Dinner with you. I donít know what was better the Dinner, the choral group "Puget Soundsters", or Santa and his special Gifts. Angela and I wish you the best of the Holiday Season.
